How do I change my password for the first time as a new student?

If you are a new student you will need to update the password to your college email and user account.

You won't be able to do this until 24 hours AFTER you receive the 'Permit to Register' email from Admissions and Records.

Click this link and follow the instructions below

1. Click 'Change My Current Password'

2. Sign in with your IVC email address and the default password.

Since you have never changed or updated your password before, you need to sign in at this screen with the default password. The default password is the 4 digit pin you created when you applied to IVC + two zeros.

For example, if your pin was 1234 when you first applied, your default password would be 123400.

Note: If you later updated your pin, the default password uses the original pin you created when first applying to IVC.

3. Click 'I'm not a robot' and login

4. Enter your new password twice. Make sure the password meets the minimum complexity requirements. It must be at least 8 characters long, have a number, a special character, and a capital and lower case letter.
